EMDR Therapy Basic Training, Part 1 (and 2) – Fri/Sat/Sun ~ September 25-27, 2026 (Virtual and Now also ON-SITE in Western MA!!!) and December 11-13, 2026 (ONLY Virtual)

This training is presented by a senior EMDR Institute trainer selected and trained by EMDR originator Dr. Francine Shapiro who is approved to use the EMDR Institute Training Manual and provide other EMDR Institute resources.

EMDR Basic Training

Part 1 and Part 2 each earn 20 CE Hours: EMDRIA, Psychologists, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC and other master’s level clinicians. Check with state licensing board to confirm acceptance of NBCC credits.

Part 1: September 25-27, 2026 (was October 2-4), Part 2: December 11-13, 2026, Training start and finish times are for both Part 1 and Part 2 – (Further schedule details are below.) All times are EST/EDT:
Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Session
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Session
Sunday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Session

Registration recommendations and deadline: Early registration is encouraged. Registration is accepted until training is full or five days before the training begins

Both On-Site and Virtual options will be available for Mark Nickerson’s upcoming training in EMDR Therapy!

• • You can attend our September 25-27, 2026 (was October 2-4) Part 1 training either on-site at the Campus Center at the University of Massachusetts (1 Campus Center way, Amherst MA 01003),  or as a virtual live interactive webinar.  
  • Each option provides the same training content and the same faculty teaching and support.  You will be asked to make your choice on the registration form.
  • December 11-13, 2026 Part 2 will be offered ONLY as a virtual live interactive webinar

As participants, you have the option to come to Massachusetts to attend the training or to attend virtually via the Zoom platform. The fees are the same for either option.

On-site participants will gather in Western Massachusetts at the Campus Center at the University of Massachusetts. You will participate in the morning and afternoon components with training staff in the room overseeing their experience, just as training was done before the pandemic.

Live interactive webinar participants will engage via the  Zoom meeting platform. During the morning didactive component of the training, interactive webinar participants will receive a livestream telecast from the on-site training over the Zoom meeting platform. Participants will see all the content presented to participants at the training location and will be able to ask questions or share comments by speaking directly with the presenter via zoom or via the chat function. In the afternoon practicum sessions, participants will be in small group Zoom meetings. Via Zoom meeting formats, they will see and be able to interact with their afternoon training facilitators and other participants.
